Former US Representative Tulsi Gabbard made the clear case at her confirmation hearing on Thursday that she is the best person to lead the Office of the Director National Intelligence ( ODNI).
The Army colonel captain spoke about the need to end the political rigor of the United States intelligence agencies and restore public faith in these organizations while speaking before the Intelligence Committee. She specifically noted prior remarks by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who in 2017 ominously warned then-President-elect Donald Trump,” ]Y ] ou take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you”.
” For also long, damaged, inadequate, or armed brains have led to costly mistakes and the affecting of our national surveillance and God-given privileges enshrined in the Constitution”, Gabbard said.
The former representative from Hawaii continued to cite numerous instances of intel agency employees acting in ways that undermined their capacity to operate accurately and honestly.
Intel officials ‘ reliance on a total fabrication or complete loss of “intelligence” to support the US invasion of Iraq, the spread of the Russia collusion fake, and the publication of a notice falsely claiming Hunter Biden’s laptop contained information was part of a Russian “misinformation” campaign were two of the most notable references. She also made reference to the FBI’s use of spy equipment, the FBI’s use of surveillance cameras, Catholics attending Latin Mass, and the abuse committed by past DNI James Clapper and CIA Director John Brennan, as well as her inclusion on a local terror watch list.
President Trump’s election is a clear call from the American people to stop this cycle of failure, stop the use of the IC, and begin to regain confidence in those who have been tasked with the task of protecting our nation, according to Gabbard. If I’m chosen as DNI, I’ll do my very best to fulfill this role and give the knowledge area a laser-like rely on our crucial task of ensuring the health, security, and freedom of the American people.
If unfortunately confirmed by the Senate to direct ODNI, Gabbard committed to “delivering knowledge that is collected, analyzed, and reported without discrimination, prejudice, or political effect”. Citing her experience serving in the military and Congress, the Hawaii native said she knows “first-hand how important accurate, objective, and proper intelligence is — to the President, to Congress, and to our warfighters— and the large cost of intelligence failures and abuses”.
According to Gabbard, “leadership that transcends partisan politics has the responsibility to ensure the health, safety, and flexibility of the British people.” ” If confirmed, my devotion to the President, to you, and to the British people is this: I will do my very best to find the truth, no matter where it leads, and reveal the truth with President Trump, his counselors, and you in Congress, providing you with neutral, fast, and accurate knowledge as you make choices to ensure the health, security and freedom of the American people”.

Gabbard reacted to accusations that Democrats and their supporters in the media were against her nomination in her opening statement. Leftists and alleged” journalists” have gone out of their way to dishonestly portray the Army veteran as a traitor who sympathizes with adversarial powers like Russia and Bashar al-Assad, who was recently elected as Trump’s DNI pick.
” I refuse to be their puppet,” Gabbard said,” the fact is what truly unites my political opponents.” I have sworn at least eight times in my life to support and defend our God-given freedoms, as enshrined in the United States Constitution, against all enemies domestic and foreign, and I will be held to the same oath if I am confirmed as director of national intelligence.
In order to discuss additional national security issues, Gabbard is scheduled to go through a second round of committee interrogation behind closed doors.
