” I don’t really care, Margaret”, is a series that has now reverberated throughout the country — and for good reason.
On Sunday, CBS News ‘ Margaret Brennan attempted to elude Vice President J. D. Vance with a standard left-wing gotcha issue about an Oklahoma assault that was nearly a terrorist attack. Vance pointed out, correctly, that an Afghan man was allowed into the U. S. through a controversial screening procedure under the Biden-Harris management. As if it were important, Brennan tried to argue that it was unclear whether the alleged criminal had allegedly reformed before entering the country.
” I don’t really care, Margaret. I don’t want that guy in my state, and I think most Americans agree with me”, Vance fired up.
Republicans and the American people have long been taught to view people like Brennan as” reporters” by their own biases. In doing so, they have shouldered the burden of supporting these so-called editors who are supposed to be impartial and looking for reasonable answers to questions in order to demonstrate or support fundamental concepts ( in this case, protecting our citizens and our independence ).
Today, people like Brennan aren’t asking genuine questions or looking for reasonable answers — they’re really trying to create grist for Democrats.
There was definitely much to be desired from individuals like Mike Pence and various management officials despite the fact that Trump, former hit secretaries Kayleigh McEnany, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders fielded questions also during the first Trump presidency.
However, perhaps what is more obvious about this year’s turn for Team Trump is the common acceptance that these” editors” are merely ideologues.
Consider Karoline Leavitt’s second press presentation as White House press secretary.
One reporter asked if there has been a change in policy from President Donald Trump, who had campaigned on beginning persecution of unlawful immigrants with” crooks,” when it was revealed that ICE had arrested 1, 179 illegal immigrants on Sunday.” Almost half of the refugees — 566 of the refugees — appear to have entered the country illegally,” one writer said.
The reporter essentially correctly responded to her own question, noting that the creatures ‘” criminal record” included their illegal arrival.
Leavitt didn’t lose a defeat, firing up that” a foreign national who fraudulently enters the United States of America” is” by description, a criminal”.
Leavitt understands the burden isn’t on her ( or the president ) to explain to a hack why someone being here illegally is, well, illegal and necessitates a deportation.
Meanwhile, Jake Tapper from CNN posed a question to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller on Tuesday regarding illegal immigration and grocery prices.
Before enquiring how Trump would work to deport illegal immigrants while ensuring grocery prices don’t rise, Tapper claimed that 42 % of crop workers were undocumented immigrants and that in many cases, as you know, these immigrants do jobs that many Americans do not want to do.
It’s a ridiculous dichotomy: Tapper wants his viewers to believe they must relinquish their national sovereignty if they want lower prices for food, using the false pretense that low prices are maintained when illegal immigrants are exploited for cheap labor.
But Miller didn’t hesitate to point out the absurd insinuation.
” Well, I’m sure it’s not your position, Jake, you’re just asking the question that we should supply America’s food with exploitative illegal alien labor. I obviously don’t think that’s what you’re implying”, Miller said, condescendingly pointing out the absurdity of Tapper’s premise. ” Only 1 % of alien workers in the entire country work in agriculture. The top destination for illegal aliens are large cities like New York, Los Angeles, and small industrial towns, of course, all across the heartland, as we’ve seen with the Biden floods, none of those illegal aliens are doing farm work”.
Miller then went on to discuss Trump’s consumer- and farmer-friendly policies.
Because they approach every interview and question like they’re in a debate with a Democrat, Miller, Leavitt, Vance, and the entire Trump administration do so well to understand that these” journalists” are just the propaganda wing of the Democrat party.
