I usually proudly support private sector workers unions, which are an unhappy position among a sizable portion of the proper, to the point where “left” and “right” no longer mean anything when they bargain with mega-corporations that have armies of lawyers and a million ugly tricks to reduce wages, including by creating monopolies, in the name of activism.
Public sector unions are a completely different animal from one another; it’s not clear why people employees who spend money deal with the people through “labor unions.” Because the administrators of public funds are infamously less cautious with their professional responsibilities than a private firm that has to reply to investors and other stakeholders, the dynamics and interests involved are completely different from those in the private sector.

If public school teachers ‘ unions are any evidence, I’ll be waiting on that proof for a long time. However, I’m open to the possibility that some people good has always come out of allowing public sector organisations.
