Numerous people have expressed concern that Donald Trump may not be critical about buying Greenland. The logic behind that claim is that it’s a negotiating strategy to keep the United States present in the Arctic. We might be able to accomplish that goal more than ever.

Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that she’s open to allowing the U. S. to improve its military presence in Greenland. She repeated the frequently rephrased say that Greenland is not for sale at the same time.
” Denmark hopes to relieve an escalating problems triggered by Donald Trump’s desire to buy the Danish-governed territory on national security grounds”, reports The Telegraph. The U.S. president has ruled out military or economic force in order to appoint a dictatorship over the beach.
At an EU conference in Brussels, Frederiksen stated,” I completely agree with the Americans that the High North, the Arctic region, is becoming more and more significant when we are talking about defense, safety, and deterrence. And it is possible to create a footprint that is stronger in Greenland.
An American center in Greenland now exists that monitors weapon threats and storage issues. Frederiksen said that the U. S.” can have more choices”.

Following a rumor that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he thinks Trump and Frederiksen should collaborate on Arctic defence, this statement was made.

” When it comes to security in the Arctic, Trump is proper”, Rutte apparently said. The Danish Prime Minister’s meeting with President Trump is what I believe to be very positive. Basically, it was about the high relevance of protection in the far north”.
Frederiksen is also aware of the dangers that China and Russia pose to the Arctic’s protection. She claimed that Denmark and NATO are willing to play their part in the wake of these hazards.
” But if this is about securing our part of the world, we can find a way forwards”, she told investigators.
Greenland is crucial to regional security, JD Vance told Fox News.
It’s actually important to our national security. There are ocean paths there that the Chinese usage, that the Russians use, that honestly, Denmark, which controls Greenland, it’s not doing its job and it’s not being a great ally.
So you have to question yourself, how are we going to solve that problem, fix our own national protection? President Trump will act on that if that means we need to get more regional interest in Greenland because he doesn’t worry what the Europeans yell at us.
He cares about putting the interests of America’s members first.

” We have fought side by side with the Americans for some, some years”, Frederiksen said in response to Vance’s responses. ” I refuse to accept the premise that Denmark is a terrible supporter.” We are not, we have not been, and we will not be in the future”.
Depending on who you talk to about it, it seems like the Greenland topic is still continued at this point. But Denmark’s possible willingness to allow the U. S. to move up its military presence in the region is more successful, even if it’s a small gain.
