President Donald Trump said on Sunday night that more taxes, this day on the 27-member European Union, did “definitely” arise and added that they will be coming “pretty soon”.
Trump had discussed the idea of imposing taxes on the Union again on Friday in comment made in the Oval Office.
Will I implement taxes on the European Union? If I give you a democratic response or just the truth? Definitely, absolutely”, he told investigators.
Trump added,” The European Union has treated us thus tremendously”.
The senator recently posted about it in December before he was inaugurated, saying that if the Union didn’t get more U. S. oil and gas, it would be “TARIFFS all the way!! “!
The latest feedback follow Trump’s purchasing of tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China on Saturday. A 25 % tariff on Canadian and Mexican exports to the United States as well as a 10 % tariff on China were all set to go into effect on Tuesday at midnight.
Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, announced a 25 % tariff on American goods late on Saturday, adding that it would affect both countries. Without specifying what those methods may be, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum ordered both “tariff and non-tariff actions in defence of Mexico’s passions.”

The EU said earlier Sunday it would “respond securely” to any taxes Trump imposes.
” The EU would stand up for any trading lover that badly or arbitrarily imposes tariffs on EU products. There is a lot at stake”, an EU director said.
