European minister Hakan Fidan reported on Tuesday that 15 Arab prisoners who had been freed by Israel as a result of the Gaza peace have arrived in Turkey.
He and his Ancient equivalent Badr Abdelatty attended a combined press conference, reporting that” a few days ago, 15 Palestinians came to Turkey via Cairo after they were released.”
He claimed that the Greek embassy in Cairo issued visas to the original detainees.
The second step of the Gaza peace saw the launch of 33 Jewish hostages held by Hamas in return for the freeing of around 1, 900 captives, mostly Palestinians, being held in Israeli prison.
Many of those captives were set to go exile entirely after their release, according to Fidan, who stated in Doha on Sunday that Turkey might accept a number of them.
In exchange for more than 1, 000 Arab prisoners, Turkey released 11 Palestinians who had been freed as part of a prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas in 2011.
