Over 20, 000 employees from our incredibly overburdened federal government apparently accepted one final payment from We the People before leaving thanks to the Trump administration’s good buyout present.

Trump’s presidency demands that federal employees either accept a good deal that reportedly includes up to eight months of pay and benefits or return to work in person and defend management plan and the Constitution. More than 20, 000 employees have now accepted the offer. The only unfortunate aspect is that this makes up less than 1 % of the total federal workforce ( although more people are anticipated to sign the deal in the coming days ).
Yes, that’s right, the federal government in America employs around 3 million individuals. Under the Biden-Harris leadership, work numbers considerably increased as a result of its efforts to cover up shoddy employment statistics. Economist EJ Antoni announced in January,” More than half of all online job growth in ‘ 24 was either direct or indirect getting bygov’t, in other words, paid for w]ith ] tax money”, an obviously untenable position.
438k people were employed by the government in 24 years, an unsustainable rate of growth that intentionally reduced the unemployment rate at the taxpayer’s cost. twitter.com/KeVQeKaVKC— E. J. Antoni, Ph. D. ( @RealEJAntoni ) January 10, 2025

More people worked at George Washington’s Mount Vernon house in 1795 than in the entire executive branch of the United States federal government. Washington, who backed a robust but firmly steadfast federal government, would be totally disgusted by the current unconstitutional and autocratic size of it.
From the New York Post on Feb. 4:
Thousands of federal workers have accepted , the Trump administration’s merger offer , — taking eight months ‘ pay and benefits in exchange for walking away from the state labor, The Post has learned.  ,
The White House anticipates that the offer will reduce the federal payroll by between 5 % and 10 %, so employees have until Thursday to choose whether to accept it.  ,
Axios first reported , Tuesday that close to 20, 000 federal workers had accepted the offer, an amount representing less , than 1 %  , of government employees.
A White House national informed the Post,” I can tell you the 20K amount isn’t present, the number of deferred defections is rapidly growing, and we’re expecting the largest rise 24 to 48 hours before the date”.

By reducing between 5 % and 10 % of the federal workforce, the goal is to ultimately save taxpayers about$ 100 billion. And goodness knows, with the national debt growing all the time, we need to start cutting expenses. Not to mention the economic cost of bloated bureaucracy — each federal regulator, for instance, is estimated to cost the U. S. economy over 130 jobs and$ 11 million annually.
Some federal jobs are necessary, some are constitutional, most are neither. Hopefully, this week will see the departure of many tens of thousands more awake, pointless federal employees, loosening the government’s grip on American prosperity.
