Donald Trump Jr. is accused of shooting a protected species while on a shooting trip to the Venice lagoon.
Andrea Zanoni, a regional counsellor in Veneto, discovered video that shows Donald Trump Jr. holding a fabled shelduck ( Tadorna ferruginea ), which is unusual.
The EU Birds Directive and, of course, European law, which illegally punishes its dying and hands, apply to this species, which is protected throughout Europe. He claimed in his Instagram post that Venice and Italy are never his country’s.
The video from Field Ethos, a release for exterior living that Trump Jr. co-founded, shows him shooting birds from a foxhole in a lake. He mentions a peculiar rusty orange duck amongst many waterfowl carcasses in one segment.

The red shelduck, also known as the Brahminy bird in India, migrates between southern Asia and south-east Europe. Experts worry about its potential because culture change is affecting its breeding grounds despite the fact that it is not endangered worldwide.
As a non-resident, Zanoni views the shooting of this secured birds as immoral and queries the validity of Trump Jr.’s looking activities in Italy.
The Italian Hunting Federation’s leader, Massimo Buconi, disputes the state about immigrants being barred from hunting in Italy. Nevertheless, he acknowledges that if the animal is confirmed to be a red shelduck, it may form a legal violation.
” At a glance it looks like a red shelduck. I don’t understand if it’s protected in America, but in Europe, and in Italy, it is protected. You may kill it”, he said.
The film was apparently captured in the Pierimpie ‘ river, a protected place near Venice, according to Zanoni. He stated that he had spoken to the local authorities about potential penalties, including a suspension or revocation of the company’s license that authorized the hunt.
Luana Zanella, a Green party member in the national legislature, has brought the issue to the interest of the culture ministry.
Zanoni or Trump Jr. did not respond to AFP’s requests for comment immediately.
Field Ethos remained indifferent to the Guardian’s request for comment. According to the movie’s story, the searching took place on private property and environmental factors were taken into account.
According to Roman media publications, Trump Jr visited Venice in December accompanied by his partner. The 48-year-old hunter of prize shooting was granted permission to hunt an Arctic grizzly bear in 2020.
A medal hunting agreement in Nevada sold a week-long shooting expedition with him that same year.
