The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs have arrived in New Orleans and made their first ( and biggest ) media appearances. As of Monday night, Super Bowl week has begun.
The National Football League expanded the show’s scope a few years ago, expanding its imprint. Originally intended as an occasion that gave the press full exposure to players from both groups. Fans can then view the press briefings from the stands, which is a much lower cost than a solution to the sport itself, which is billed as” Super Bowl Opening Night.” This is a chance for football enthusiasts to take part in the Super Bowl horde, but for much less money.
The 10, 000-20, 000 who filled much of the lower plate of the Louisiana Superdome Monday night witnessed what has become a made-for-TV sight. Players from all over the country and the world, including myself, gathered to beg players a wide range of questions about the game and much more.
While each group’s top 10 people sat at small booths to answer press issues, different players scurried around the stands. Because they were bound to bump into people, some even quite literally, those covering the occasion had to keep their heads on a swivel.
Due to the nature of our culture, which is obsessed with pop culture, different celebrities and personalities also went to the event to observe the events and take part in the experience. Guillermo, the safety watch from” Jimmy Kimmel Live”, spent day roaming the outside and attracting attention. Cooper Manning, nephew of Peyton and Eli, wore a drum major to conversations for Fox Sports. ( And before you ask, no, Taylor what ‘s-her-name did not make an appearance Monday evening, although Travis Kelce said she makes good homemade Pop-Tarts. )
With media from around the globe in attendance, concerns ranged far afield from the football. One press person inquired about a massive NBA industry that saw Luka Doncic leave the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the sports people said they didn’t observe sports tightly enough to have an opinion. Eagles people received inquiries about Philly cheesesteaks, and one writer asked Andy Reid, the not-exactly-svelte Chiefs manager, if he had any New Orleans eatery tips. Reid responded that he has been putting together a shutdown.
Despite the jarring and/or repetitive issues the people were asked, such as” What would your name be if you were a professional wrestler?” — some actions ventured into the intellectual. Looking up on his career, Eagles former Brandon Graham referenced Ecclesiastes. His partner C. J. Gardner-Johnson, who recently took publicity for driving a modest vehicle, said he doesn’t want to consider playing in the NFL for granted. And while Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley said he wanted to take in every aspect of the encounter, Travis Kelce of the Chiefs urged him not to get too pumped up by the buzz.  ,
And there was a lot of hype on Monday night, from quiet music to cheerleader dancing to dust and lighting. By the end of the week, one issue is certain despite all the hype: A football match will start. And the success of that contest did have a chance to become a recreational hero.
