White House officials announced on Tuesday that the state has begun taking migrants seeking imprisonment to Guantanamo Bay as a temporary halt.
Last week, President Donald Trump issued an executive order directing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem to “full capacity” to give more detention space for high-priority legal aliens unjustly there.
The chairman said he wanted the ability to be able to keep 30, 000 workers.
According to a security official, Hegseth approved the implementation of about 500 Soldiers to Guantanamo Bay and another 500 Army troops from the 10th , Mountain Division Headquarters to Texas in order to create a Joint Task Force Headquarters for the Southern Border goal. More than 150 of the forces are already there, according to U. S. Southern Command.
More forces will likely be dispatched to the southern border, according to security officials.
On Monday, the minister made a visit to army along the borders.
” To the cartel: All selections are on the board”, Hegseth said Monday. ” We does secure our border. Because of President Donald Trump, this is a new age at the southern border, a novel era of dedication, a new age of assistance. And at the Defense Department, we are proud to be a part of it”.

Guantanamo Bay is most frequently referred to as the military’s home base for terrorists, but there are other locations that have previously been used to house migrants. There are still 15 terrorists held in those facilities.
During his presidency, former president Joe Biden attempted to close the prison but was unable, despite his administration’s reduction in the detainee population to 40.
