After Tesla’s CEO and X-owner Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ) was given access to the Bureau of Fiscal Service on Tuesday, Democratic lawmakers staged a significant protest outside the U.S. Department of Treasury Building in Washington, D.C.
The Bureau of the Fiscal Service, which is in charge of discharging trillions of dollars in annual bills, including national federal salaries and Social Security payments, was given access to the opposition on Tuesday, according to Fox News, just days after the Treasury Department did so. DOGE’s exposure to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service comes as the administration of Donald Trump is pushing for a decrease in national investing.
