On Wednesday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Agency, which advises the bureau, received funding from the US Agency for International Development, which will soon be shut down.
” I was informed that USAID funded stores like Politico, who I am aware of, have a seat in this area. I can confirm that more than$ 8 million in taxpayer dollars that have been used to essentially subvention subscriptions on the taxpayer’s dime will no longer be used. The DOGE team is currently attempting to cancel those bills.
” This is a whole-of-government effort to ensure that We are going line by line when it comes to the Federal Government’s books. Do these documents serve the needs of the American people in a broad sense, this leader and his team are making decisions across the board? Is this a great use of the American citizen’s money? If not, that money will no longer be sent worldwide, and American citizens may save a lot of money as a result,” Leavitt said.
On X, MAGA commentators made the allegations against Politico and cited a for the first time in history at the media organization as an unexpected delay in payment. This, according to them, happened because of DOGE’s actions on USAID. Although Polo has not yet released a statement, it did send a letter to its employees, blaming a professional problem for the delay in payment.
People did not receive their wages as scheduled because of what we believe to be a technical problem. We fully acknowledge the necessity of this situation and offer our sincere regrets. Our team is carefully collaborating with the bank and our system vendors to find the root cause and implement a solution as soon as possible. We will keep you informed as we continue to learn and function to solve the issue as quickly as possible,” the message stated.
