Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL ) thanked the Trump administration for responding to a query that former president Joe Biden had emailed.

However, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL ) claimed that his ideas, which include imposing criminal penalties for illegal access, creating an immigration enforcement official, and mandating compliance with arrests from law enforcement under threat of suspension, have received the support of his constituents.
