Member of U. S. designated extremist group did speak on’ imprisonment, detention, and abuse in the Israeli defense program ‘
A speech from a Georgetown University Law scholar group who is connected to the murder of an Israeli teen in a 2019 attack is scheduled to speak at this month’s event.
The school’s Students for Justice in Palestine book may sponsor Ribhi Karajah, a part of the U. S. designated extremist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, on Feb. 11, Jewish Insider reported.
The “former Israeli political slave” will offer a talk on “arrest, confinement, and abuse in the Israeli military system”, according to an Instagram post by LSJP.
According to Jewish Insider, the speaker admitted in a plea bargain that he knew information about a planned devastating attack but “did everything to prevent it” and spent more than three years in an Israeli jail.
A 17-year-old Jewish girl was killed in the attack, along with her brother and father.
Julia Wax Vanderwiel, a law student, claimed that Karajah’s appearance on campus” threatens the protection of all Israeli learners.”
She added that LSJP “has people who attempt to undermine the Holocaust” and usually supports Hamas.
The student claimed that Karajah” will undoubtedly spread those exact students and support their violent tendencies.”
In response to the news of the event, journalist and Jewish recommend Eyal Yakoby condemned the Georgetown student team on X, composing,” Shame on the media outlets who called SJP an anti-war group—they’re home terrorists”.
The College Fix reached out to Georgetown University Law Center via email regarding its investigation into a complaint about a member of a terrorist organization that had been blocked on campus. The center did not immediately respond.
Georgetown has previously come under fire for hosting an anti-Israel speaker, which is not the first time.
The Georgetown University Law Center hosted a well-attended event in 2022 that featured infamous antisemitic conspiracy theorist Mohammed El-Kurd. El-Kurd is infamous for promoting the modern-day’ blood libel’ against Jews”, the Brandeis Center reported.
Last year, Georgetown’s Qatar campus hosted a four-day conference with speakers linked to Hamas and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, The Fix previously reported.
Some speakers had previously made anti-Semitic remarks or expressed support for Hamas’s attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
Columbia University has also experienced criticism for having an” Zionism” course taught by a professor, who described Hamas ‘ terrorist attacks as “awesome,” according to The Fix.
