Sheikh Hasina, a former prime minister and ousted Bangladeshi head, demanded justice after a crowd detained her dad Mujibur Rahman’s home on Wednesday.
” They can demolish a tower, but not the past… but they must also remember that the story takes its revenge”, she said in an personal address.
” Now, this property is being demolished. What violence had it committed? Why were they so scared of the house… I ask the country’s citizens for fairness. Didn’t I do anything for you”? she added.
Hasina allegedly attacked Mohammed Yunus, the interim government captain, by saying,” They are yet to possess the power to use a bulldozer to destroy the national flag, the law, and the freedom that we earned at the cost of the lives of millions of victims.”
Hasina urged the country to join in opposition to the current regime at an event held by the now-disbanded student organization Chhatra League of the Awami League.
The deposed leading recalled that while Muslim troops looted the home during the Liberation War of 1971, they both destroyed it nor ignited it.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s apartment was set on fire on Wednesday evening after being vandalized and set on fire by demonstrators on Thursday. Following the deposed prime minister’s website address, protesters descended on homes belonging to Awami League leaders and defaced paintings of Mujibur Rahman.
Several thousand people had gathered in front of Mujibur Rahman’s former residence—now a memorial museum—in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area, responding to a social media call for a” Bulldozer Procession” coinciding with Hasina’s speech.
After fleeing Bangladesh in the midst of a large student-led revolt that put an end to her Awami League’s 16-year law, the 77-year-old has been living in India since August 5, 2012.
While her father is commonly regarded as a warrior of Bangladesh’s democracy, growing public indignation toward Hasina has cast a shadow over his reputation. In a military coup on August 15, 1975, Muhammadudbur Rahman was killed along with the majority of his home, while Hasina and her girl Rehana were in Germany.
