John Fetterman, the only Democrat head to support Pam Bondi, the attorney general of the Donald Trump administration, said he would never support the assurance of Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr.” I met with most of the cabinet nominees and have thoroughly watched their verification hearings,” he said. I have voted against moving forward with Ms Gabbard and Mr Kennedy’s confirmations after considering what is at stake, and I will vote NO for their confirmations,” Fetterman wrote in a Facebook post.
When Fetterman broke the ranks with his party senators to vote in favor of Pam Bondi, he faced a significant backlash from the critics who asked him to join the Republican Party after being seen warming up to President Donald Trump. However, he now made it clear that he won’t want RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard to serve as the director of national intelligence.
Fetterman also backed Donald Trump’s suggestion that the United States would annex the Gaza Strip, which has been ravaged by conflict.
Both Gabbard and Kennedy Jr. are on thin ice because they are quite content to choose their posts.
Senators were reluctant to support Gabbard’s nomination because she obfuscated questions about whether she thought of whistleblower Edward Snowden as a traitor to the US during the hearing. Kennedy was also questioned during the hearing about his contentious remarks regarding vaccines and other public health issues, despite the fact that he claimed he was not opposed to them.
Why did Fettermen choose Pam Bondi?
Pam Bondi was confirmed by the Senate in a 54-46 vote. Though Fetterman’s vote was not decisive, he stood out as the only Democrat senator to have voted yes for Bondi. Despite not believing she to be the ideal candidate for the attorney general position, Fasterman stated that he favored Pam Bondi despite her credentials. ” She’s qualified, and it’s not my ideal pick, but it turns out ( former Attorney General ) Merrick Garland wasn’t anyone’s ideal one either”, Fetterman said.
Nicole Shanahan trolls Fetterman
Nicole Shanahan, Kenndy Jr’s aide, threatened senators that if they didn’t confirm RFK Jr., they wouldn’t stay in office. She criticized Fetterman and said that instead of posing as a strong American man, Fetterman should work out. Fetterman plays with the idea of being a strong American man, but he is a lazy slob who can’t work out in spite of dressing in gym clothes all day long. I don’t expect someone who can’t manage to dress themselves to make wise decisions, let alone those that are as crucial to the health of a country,” Shanahan, Kennedy Jr.’s running mate, said.
