A new radical left thought that first emerged at the beginning of the twenty-first centuries is known as the “environmental fairness movement.” It was based on the notion that companies that dump their waste and pollute the ground badly “targeted” low-income and minority neighborhoods.  ,

There is proof that minority communities were left with waste from reckless businesses and even more careless governments in some instances. One instance is the Flint Water Crisis, where a predominately low-income neighborhood experienced cause contamination in their eating water as a result of weak state police.
” When the effects of the environmental justice activity mean fewer high-paying jobs, then it’s not fairness. That’s no justice for a low-income employee who needs to support her home”, says the chairman of the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Energy, Climate, and Environment, Diana Furchtgott-Roth.
However, the legal theory of “environmental fairness” depends on the notion that immigrants were the only ones who were targeted. In a court case last month, the state of Louisiana successfully challenged that idea.
Various environmental justice critics claim that the programs focus on competition unjustifiably. The state of Louisiana brought the concept to light last year in a significant climate fairness lawsuit against the EPA and the Department of Justice. The district judge ultimately sided with the state, decreeing that “pollution does not discriminate” and that “if a decision maker has to consider race” in its enforcement decisions, “it has indeed participated in racism” . ,
Though Ms. Furchtgott-Roth views Mr. Trump’s walk as a step in the right direction, she notes that she holds” the greatest love” for the EPA staff who are slated to lose their jobs. They work extremely hard to carry out what the leader instructed them to do. She tells the Sun,” I hope they can be reallocated to different parts of the federal government.”

” It will be exceptional in scope and scale if more than 100 EPA staff are placed on administrative leave tomorrow. We have never experienced anything like that in the 34 times I’ve been at this agency”, Nicole Cantello, chairman of AFGE native 704, a coalition that represents EPA people.
According to CNN, the agency’s climate justice initiatives and policies are intended to protect underserved communities from overwhelmingly negative health and environmental effects. What is “disproportionately”? For that matter, what’s an “underserved area”?
In order to promote” cultural righteousness” and “environmental justice,” a brand-new vocabulary was developed. ” Justice” for who? Fairness for what? Pollution is sad, but isn’t the local government in charge of ensuring compliance with local economic laws? Even before the EPA was established, this was accurate.
In one of her second acts on Wednesday, Pam Bondi rescinded former attorney general Merrick Garland’s orders to protect the environment, according to a memo obtained by The Washington Post. Bondi also directed the heads of all U. S. Attorney’s Offices to withdraw any “memoranda, advice, or similar policy that adopt the previous government’s ‘ environmental justice ‘ agenda”.” Going forward, the Department does evenhandedly maintain all federal civil and criminal legislation, including climate laws”, the letter concluded.

A person has the right to file a lawsuit for any damage to his or her health or home if a company’s actions cause harm to a person. Before “environmental fairness” became a phrase, that standard remained unchanged for a while.
