A Kansas City Telemundo reporter’s tragic dying at a New Orleans resort led to the arrest of 48-year-old Danette Colbert. The lady from the Lousiana hotel has a history of robbing men and stealing their credit cards, according to the police, who added that she was discovered in the hotel surveillance camera footage as she left journalist Adan Manzano’s room. She then traveled to outlets where she used the reporter’s credit card while Manzano was discovered dead in his place.
The strange death’s reason is still a mystery.
Manzano just lost his wife in a car accident, leaving their young daughter without kids. According to reports, his family Ashleigh Boyd passed away in Kansas in April.
According to police, chemistry testing is currently being conducted by the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office to ascertain whether Manzano was drugged. His body exhibited no discernible signs of pain.
Nola.com reported that Colbert had previously been accused of using a credit card belonging to a man who claimed that his phone and credit cards were stolen after they met a lady drinking on Bourbon Street in New Orleans in 2016.
Authorities said Manzano’s mobile phone was likewise found with’ career criminal ‘ Colbert. Colbert is only charged with fraud and theft-related acts, but police note that the investigation is still ongoing. Whether she pleaded guilty to a charge or retained an counsel is still a mystery.
