After flying over the place for the first time since its rewriting on his approach to the Super Bowl on Sunday, President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that February 9, 2025, would remain Gulf of America Day.
Trump referenced his executive order, which called for Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to name the Gulf of Mexico to” the Gulf of America,” in a White House statement, saying that it “has long been an integral part of our again burgeoning Nation and has remained an unforgettable part of America.
The leader added that it is “fitting and suitable for our excellent Nation to come up and honor this significant event and the rewriting of the Gulf of America.”
Trump described the day as “even bigger than the Super Bowl” in video of the statement sign posted on X.
