BEIJING: Wang Yi, the Chinese foreign secretary,will visit Europe and the United States this month before attending a group of 20 meeting in South Africa, Beijing said on Monday.
As relations between the two nations appear to be warming, UK foreign minister David Lammy will number Wang in London this Thursday, the American authorities confirmed.
Beijing’s news comes after Wang’s US rival Marco Rubio said he would miss the G20 speaks over an “anti-American” plan.
Since taking office last quarter, US President Donald Trump has pulled his land out of a number of international organizations, including the UN human rights council and the world health organization.
