Liberals are panicking over the effort to hold federal government agencies responsible for their use of tax money as President Trump moves quickly to combat government corruption. A government shutdown may be imminent, according to Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ), who announced on Sunday that he would be “open to joining Democrats in shutting down the government to rally the Trump administration’s tumult of national authorities and funding.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA ) acknowledged to reporters on Friday that it appeared as though House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY ) was” trying to set up some sort of a government shutdown,” but Jeffries refuted that statement.
Kim, on the other hand, claimed that he is” the last guy” who would like a government shutdown to occur and that the nation is “on the edge of a constitutional crisis.” If a government shutdown were to arise, Kim suggested that he would responsible” the majority”.
Axios reports,” Kim said Sunday on NBC News ‘ ‘ Meet the Press’ that he won’t’ assistance efforts that may maintain this lawlessness that we’re seeing when it comes to this administration’s actions,’ adding,’ for us to be able to support government funding … solely for them to turn it around to dismantle the government, that is not something that should be allowed.'”
Democrats have reportedly been urging party officials to do more to protest President Trump’s alleged efforts to stop federal corruption by focusing on its wasteful spending.
The federal money date, March 14, may or may not provide the possibility for Democrats to get a major step in the party’s efforts to resist the Trump administration.
Democrats have been voicing their disapproval of President Trump, who has seized control of the DOGE, with some attempting to refute them, saying that they lack the authority to carry out their duties. Democrats have taken the lead by voicing their concerns about the US Agency for International Development’s ( USAID )’s ( DOGE ) involvement in the corruption scandal by claiming that it is “illegal” and doesn’t have the interests of Americans at heart when it comes to reducing wasteful spending on American taxpayer dollars.
Trump said next Monday at the White House that Musk and the DOGE” doesn’t do and didn’t do anything without our approval”, adding,” We’ll give him the acceptance where appropriate. Where no ideal, we didn’t”.
