Donald Trump’s administration’s efforts to improve effectiveness are being stifled by a new federal court ruling. The ruling in question, issued by U. S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer, a Barack Obama appointee, blocks members of the Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ) and even the Treasury Secretary himself from accessing critical Treasury Department payment and data systems. This determination raises important questions about the power of the executive branch and judicial overreach.

The Trump administration’s attorneys, who were not allowed to make their case in court earlier, argued overdue Sunday that the judge’s order infringes upon the president’s legal capabilities over the executive branch. The idea that a judge may restrict the government’s ability to manage his personnel and efforts is not just ridiculous, it’s a overt display of judicial overreach.  ,
As Trump clearly pointed out,” No judge really, simply, be allowed to create that kind of a selection”. His call to action in this situation is in line with a basic rule: the separation of powers is intended to stop the judiciary from ingesting this type of interference.
Elon Musk and his government performance group, Depends, were ordered to stop accessing the Treasury Department’s payment and information systems by 19 states attorneys general who filed a complaint. There was a danger of “irreparable damage,” they claimed. What is your interpretation of that? And does that make you forget what you want to do? Bret Baier asked Trump in his pre-Super Bowl meeting.
” No, I disagree with it 100 %. I think it’s crazy. And we must address the performance issue. We have to address the scam, waste, misuse, all the things that have gone into the state. You take a look at the USAID, the kind of scam in there”, Trump responded.
Prior to the Super Bowl, which Trump did participate, Trump spoke with Baier in a private interview with Fox News. The couple discussed the government’s long love of sports and sport, as well as politicians and DOGE.
When asked about what DOGE has found while auditing national authorities in search of government spending, fraud, and corruption, Trump responded,” We’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars that’s going places where it shouldn’t be.”
” Where if I read a listing, you’d claim, this is ridiculous, and you’ve read the same record and there are many that you haven’t yet seen, it’s ridiculous. It’s a great hoax. Then there’s some nice money and we can do that through, any one of a number. I believe I should give it to State Department Secretary Marco Rubio. Let him look after the couple worthy ones. But, I don’t know if it’s fees or what’s going on, but the individuals. Look, I ran on this, and the citizens want me to get it. And I’ve had a tremendous aid with Elon Musk, who’s been terrific”, he continued.

It’s impossible to emphasize the absurd nature of Engelmayer’s decision. 19 communist state attorneys general, led by Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, started the complaint. The complaint contends that it is illegal to grant Expand members access to sensitive economic data. The justification? They assert that it goes against the separation of powers established by the Constitution. This makes no sense of course, but recollect, all they needed was to get an anti-Trump determine willing to sign off on it.  ,

There’s no doubt our administrative system urgently needs reform. If a number of dramatic attorneys general may determine the market and avoid the executive tree from carrying out its duties, that’s a problem.  ,
Vice President JD Vance has stepped strongly into this conversation, declaring that” courts aren’t allowed to handle the executive’s genuine power”. He also compared military activities to a judge trying to impose rules to a common.  ,
If a prosecutor tried to tell a basic how to do a military operation, that would be outlawed.
If a prosecutor tried to control the attorney general in how to employ her judgment as a prosecutor, that’s even illegal.
Courts aren’t allowed to handle the executive’s genuine power.

That is perfectly what’s happening in this instance. The courts are not permitted to enter professional decision-making place. Actually, I’d have zero issue with Trump ignoring this rogue court’s order.  ,
