KAMPALA: Ebola cases in Uganda have risen to nine, while 265 another persons were being monitored under confinement, health officials said Tuesday.
The second victim, a man nurse who passed away the day before the pandemic was discovered on January 30 among the nine, is included in the nine. That guy remains the single accident.
Eight patients “are receiving medical care and are in steady state,” according to a statement from the health ministry. Seven of them were admitted to the principal public hospital in Kampala, the Ugandan funds, in addition to one being treated in the southeast region of Mbale, the department said, adding that” the situation is under control” amid heightened security.
The deceased nurse had initially sought medical attention in Kampala before traveling to Mbale, where he was eventually transferred to a common hospital. According to health authorities, the man even sought the services of a standard doctor. His family members are among those receiving treatment for Ebola.
Around 4 million people live in Kampala, and authorities are still looking into the cause of the pandemic.
Ebola, which manifests as a popular bleeding fever, can only be prevented by tracking links.
There aren’t any approved vaccines for Ugandan people who contract the Ebola pressure from Sudan. However, as part of efforts to stop the current outbreak from spreading, authorities have begun a clinical research to further evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a test immunization.
At least 55 people had died in Uganda as a result of the most recent outbreak of Ebola that started in September 2022 when it was declared more than four months later.
Ebola is spread through bodily secretions or poisoned elements that come into contact with a host. Symptoms include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle problems and at times internal and external bruising.
Experts believe the first person to become infected with the Ebola virus comes into contact with an infected animal or eats its fresh meat. In a town close to the Ebola River, where the disease is named, Ebola was discovered in 1976 during two parallel outbreaks in South Sudan and the Congo.
