For the last few decades, we’ve written the online equivalent of reams about Disney’s descent into wokeness. Almost every month provided new opportunities to highlight Disney’s far-left change, from the bank’s solid stance against Florida’s Parental Rights in Education invoice to the increase of LGBTQetc heroes and stories.

It was difficult to criticize a business that has meant so much to me as someone who grew up on Disney and enjoys the majority of its production. But I also knew how far the company had strayed from Walt Disney’s original vision of family entertainment based on American ( and Judeo-Christian ) values.
The days may become changing at Disney. We’ve already seen Disney-Pixar abandon an LGBTQ storyline , in an upcoming project, and now Fox Business reports that the company is dropping diversity, equity, and inclusion ( DEI ) initiatives from its latest SEC filing.
Disney didn’t notice its” Reimagine Tomorrow” initiative in its 2024 SEC registration, even though it featured prominently in the 2023 processing. The effort promoted the value of accurate representation in media and entertainment while also promoting the use of left-wing phrases.
Flashback:  , Disney Cast People Who Don’t Buy Into the LGBTQ Agenda Make Their Accents Heard
The company allegedly slaps warning labels on material that doesn’t match today’s requirements of political correctness on one page of the website:
We are currently reviewing our libraries and adding recommendations to content that contains bad portrayals or depictions of people or nations as part of our continued commitment to diversity and inclusion. We see a chance to engage in conversation and open discussion about the story that affects us all rather than removing this information. We’re committed to giving voice to some areas ‘ stories as well as the fact that some have been erased or completely forgotten.

Another phrase from a section on that site reads,” We doesn’t change the past, but we can appreciate it, learn from it, and move forward up to create a tomorrow that only dreams of now.” The “advisory committee” for this component of” Reimagining Tomorrow” is like a who’s who of far-left “representation” companies.
Another La program that didn’t look on this year’s SEC registration is the” Disney Appear” system. Disney claimed in the 2023 issuing that it had “updated” its cast member even standards in order to” create a more equitable environment that encourages and celebrates genuine expressions of belonging among people.” In other words, boys may wear garments and paint their fingernails.
According to Fox Business, investors are attempting to persuade Disney to abandon its relationship with the queer activist Human Rights Campaign and join another major corporations.
Disney’s decision to distance itself from the woke initiative comes as activist investors are pressuring the business to withdraw from the Human Rights Campaign’s ( HRC ) Corporate Equality Index.
A yearly survey is released by the HRC that evaluates businesses ‘ compliance with a number of LGBTQ initiatives, including” Integration of gender identity and sexual orientation in professional development, skills-based or other leadership training that includes elements of diversity and/or cultural competency.” Since 2007, Disney has consistently received a great report on the Equality Index.

Disney’s distance from DEI is a key step in the right direction. Although it’s unlikely that the business will ever completely reject leftism, it’s encouraging to see it returning to the original company’s direction in terms of the pleasure that Disney is supposed to make.
This begs a couple of follow-up concerns. May Disney go back to making unique, interesting content? Did it also lower the cost of theme parks and make the visitor experience also difficult to enjoy? Because both of those are significant demands, we might as well be appreciative of our own small accomplishments at this point.
