Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in France late on Monday for a two-day explore, where he was met by French President Emmanuel Macron for a formal dining before co-chairing the AI Summit in Paris.
During the breakfast, PM Modi even met US Vice President JD Vance, who is in France for the AI Summit, and congratulated him on his political success.
The fresh Trump administration’s new prime minister had his first meeting with JD Vance and his first encounter with the best authority. Just weeks before PM Modi’s scheduled trip to Washington, the two officials engaged in an exchange on the outside of the state dinner.

The AI Action Summit, which brings along world leaders and executives from the technology sector to discuss AI innovations for the betterment of society, may be co-chaired by the Prime Minister and the European President.
The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that PM Modi and Macron may start India’s annual embassy in Marseille, France. They will also go to the International Atomic Energy Research Institute ( ITER ), where India and France collaborate to create innovative nuclear energy solutions for use in the world.
This signifies PM Modi’s fifth visit to France, as per leaders.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi may travel to the United States on February 12 and 13 at President Donald Trump’s proposal after his two engagements in France.
This will be the first meeting between the two frontrunners since Trump took office in his next term, making PM Modi the third president from around the world to explore the US after Trump’s opening.
past US activities
Trump was accompanied by Prime Minister Modi for a state visit to India in February 2020, while Modi recently visited the United States in June 2017.
The two officials have also spoken half over the telephone since November 2024—on November 6, 2024, and January 27, 2025.
In an earlier relationship with the new US management, physical affairs minister S. Jaishankar represented PM Modi at Trump’s opening.
