SEOUL: North Korean authorities were questioning a professor in Daejeon, who allegedly fatally stabbed a student in the area of Daejeon, on Tuesday.
The acting president of the country has instructed reviews of school security standards following the incident that occurred on Monday during after-school care.
The adult think is receiving medical care for self-inflicted wounds following the death of the young woman in an audio-visual area on the second-floor of the college, said Yuk Jong-myeong, chief of Daejeon’s northern district police station.
The suspect, who is reportedly in her 40s, reported to be telling authorities that she had just taken a medical leave of absence from function, Yuk said. She claimed to have been treated for melancholy since 2018.
After the woman, a first-grade scholar, was reported missing at 5: 15 PM native time Monday, police and community members searched throughout the institution and surrounding regions. Her mother found her in the audio-visual area around 5: 50 PM. The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Guests poured sympathy letters and flowers at the school’s doorway on Tuesday, which was closed.
