Marc Fogel, a professor from America who was detained in Russia in August 2021, was set to be released on Tuesday by the White House.

Federal safety director Mike Waltz stated in a speech on Tuesday evening that President Donald J. Trump and his Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are able to declare that Mr. Witkoff is leaving Russian aircraft with Marc Fogel, an American who was detained by Russia. Since President Trump’s swearing-in, he has successfully secured the launch of Americans detained around the world, and he will continue to do so until all Americans detained are returned to the United States.
The White House predicted,” By tomorrow, Marc Fogel will be on British soil”.
Waltz added that Fogel’s release serves as a” show of good faith from the Russians and a sign we are moving in the right direction” ( in the same vein ).
