It’s Official: Chuck Schumer Is the Worst Politician in Washington

I have come to mock Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N. Y. S. S. R. ), not to bury him. But first, let’s talk a little about laughter before getting to that.

There was a wonderful article about humor, David Letterman, and “post-irony” in R. W. Bradford’s Liberty magazine several decades ago that has stuck with me. If satirical humor is when your words or actions in a humorous approach lead to the opposite of your intentions, next post-ironic humor is when you go ahead and take the ridiculous activity, aware of what the screwed-up result will be.

Letterman found laughter in the negative aspects of broadcast. Wait until you see me do it, Letterman seemed to say to viewers ( way back when his show was still the best thing on late-night )” If you think television is bad, watch it.” He told you that the joke was all just a pun, which was funny. Letterman was the post-ironic master of making excellent negative television.

Irony is un-self-aware. Post-irony is self-aware. But some words or actions are so poor that they are neither humorous nor post-ironic fun, they’re simply ridiculous.

Enter, stage left, one Chuck Schumer.

Wait until you see Schumer do it if you think politics is ridiculous.

I’m sorry you had to see that, but the information I got out of it was:” Delight, Chuck, stop — they won’t let me vote for Trump again”.

And Another Point: &nbsp, I more thoroughly explored the rise and fall of David Letterman in this 2009 part,” Deconstructing Dave“. It’s held up well, and you should read it. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an virtual version of that Liberty newspaper article that introduced me to post-irony. &nbsp,

But indeed, to reply American AF’s issue, I do have a notion on that: Meat axe, rocket, chainsaw… what more you got? Bring out the entire supply in” The Matrix,” like Neo and Trinity in the final work.

Or maybe that’s not the best video research. Perhaps we should “take off and destroy the whole site from orbit” instead.

There are other views for sharing. When Schumer says,” All knows there’s waste in state and should be cut”, what spend has Schumer always identified? What breaks has he ever proposed?

To ask the question, Mr. Waller, is to reply it. Schumer is merely a high-level gear in the system that has bankrupted the richest nation in history. &nbsp,

I don’t think cutting a billion these or a billion there as, unlike in Everett Dirksen’s time, that’s no longer true wealth. 10 billion around and 10 billion there doesn’t actually make the cut. We’ve got a$ 2.5 trillion-with-a-T deficit this year alone— and DOGE is on a mission to cut no less than]dr_evil_voice ] ONE TRILLION DOLLARS ]/dr_evil_voice ] this year alone.

They require that flesh knife. They could also use a few Democrats ‘ aide who are still adamant about Washington’s impending debt. Democrats who also care about the issues that really matter in Chuck Schumer appear to be in less demand than self-awareness. &nbsp,
