In a huge win for the Trump administration, the U. S. Senate voted Wednesday night to ensure previous Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard as the next director of National Intelligence. The last vote was 52-48, with Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., sympathizing with Democrats in opposition.
Director Gabbard was targeted by the knowledge area for his criticism of the crooked Biden-Harris program. She then directs the armed organizations that pursued her and other honest Americans. The British people have long awaited the release of transparency, The Heritage Foundation tweeted on Wednesday.
Next week, the Senate Intelligence Committee presented Gabbard’s election to the full Senate for attention. The commission vote followed political outlines, with Republicans supporting the Hawaii local and Democrats opposing.
Gabbard’s election faced significant uncertainty heading into her Jan. 30 commission reading. The former congressman was a vocal critic of America’s crooked intel agencies and spy tools used against the people and was the target of unscrupulous and anonymous-terrorist-sources-for-latest-deep-state-hit-on-tulsi-gabbard/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>disgusting accusations from the old media and unidentified GOP Senate officials who sought to derail her nomination.
Democrat and Republican senators questioned Gabbard during her confirmation hearing about her prior statements expressing support for Edward Snowden, a former National Security Agency whistleblower, and critics of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act ( FISA ) The latter has been used by intelligence agencies to track down innocent Americans and Donald Trump’s 2016 plan.
Gabbard reiterated her commitment to upholding the legislation throughout her evidence and stressed the need to end the use of the intelligence machine and restore public confidence in these institutions.
” President Trump’s election is a clear mission from the American people to break this cycle of failure, ending the weaponization/politicization of the]intel community], and start to rebuild trust in those who have been charged with the important task of securing our nation”, Gabbard said. If I’m chosen as DNI, I’ll do my very best to fulfill this role and give the knowledge area a laser-like rely on our crucial task of ensuring the safety, security, and freedom of the American people.
Gabbard’s commission notes earned her support from important GOP legislators, including Susan Collins of Maine and Todd Young of Indiana. No Democrat — both of whom are members of the Senate Intelligence Committee — made any announcements about how they would vote on her election before the Jan. 30 reading.
Gabbard also earned aid from Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, who was considered to get another swing vote heading into Wednesday’s assurance. In a Tuesday X post, the democratic Alaska Republican revealed her assistance for Gabbard.
” While I continue to have reservations about some of the positions Gambard has recently taken, I appreciate her devotion to limit the agency’s oversight while allowing the ODNI to carry out its vital role in upholding national protection,” Murkowski wrote. I rely on her to ensure that American citizens ‘ protection and civil liberties are riggedly protected as she brings independent thinking and the necessary monitoring to her new position.
