Donald Trump dialed his Russian rival Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday after receiving a call from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In a “meaningful conversation”, Trump and Zelenskyy discussed ways to end Russia’s almost three-year conquest of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin and Trump had a phone call shortly after that talk.
Zelesnkyy, who shared the information of his talk with Trump, stated that no one in the world wanted peace, and that the US President had once more rephrased the phrase, “let’s get it done.”
” I spoke with @POTUS in a significant way. We much talked about opportunities to attain harmony, discussed our readiness to work together at the group level, and Ukraine’s modern capabilities—including drones and other sophisticated industries. Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to President Trump for his involvement in what we can achieve together.
” We also spoke about my conversation with @SecScottBessent and the planning of a new report on security, financial assistance, and resource relationship. Information of his talk with Putin were shared by President Trump. No single wants serenity more than Ukraine. We are working with the US to determine what we need to do next to put an end to Russian aggression and forge a profound, trustworthy harmony. As President Trump said, let’s get it done. We agreed to maintain more call and plan future meetings”, he added.
Trump also stated on his Truth Social account that he had spoken with Zelenskyy and that, like Putin, the Ukrainian President was also hoping for tranquility. He added,” It’s time to stop the insane war where there have been enormous, and entirely unnecessary deaths and death.”
Earlier, Trump dialled Putin and held a “lengthy and greatly productive”, during which they agreed to start negotiations to end the war in Ukraine “immediately”.
According to the Kremlin, the discussion lasted 1.5 days, with both officials agreeing that” the time has come to work up”.
” We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, Energy, Artificial Intelligence, the power of the Dollar, and various other topics. We both reflected on the Wonderful Story of our Countries, and the fact that we fought so effectively together in World War II, remembering, that Russia lost tens of millions of people, and we, also, lost so many! We each spoke about the advantages of our individual countries and the enormous benefit we will eventually receive from working up,” the US President said.
Trump more stated that he and Putin did “work up, very strongly” on resolving the issue. ” we both agreed, we want to quit the millions of deaths taking place in the War with Russia/Ukraine. Yet President Putin made use of my very powerful promotion motto, “COMMON SENSE.” ” We both believe very strongly in it”, he added.
