Donald Trump’s remark on Thursday raised eyebrows because he suggested that “great discussions” between Russia and Ukraine might be about to stop the devastating conflict. In a post on Truth Social, Trump, 78, confidently said,” Great chance of ending that awful, very terrible battle! “!
His remarks come after it was revealed that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to start discussions right away to end the conflict that has ravaged Ukraine and destabilized Europe.
” We expect that he’ll arrive here, and I’ll get it, and we’re going to meet likewise, probably in Saudi Arabia”, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday, hinting at high-stakes agreements in the near future. He emphasized the urgency of the situation and said he would contact Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to keep track of the political improvements.
The strong assertions follow Trump’s claim that a war would never have taken place under his command, which raises questions about his part in securing a possible peace deal. Trump’s message was clear:” We want to stop the millions of deaths taking place in the War with Russia/Ukraine. No more existence may be lost,”!
Ukrainian President Zelensky responded favorably, confirming a “meaningful talk” with Trump about ending the crime. ” No one wants serenity more than Ukraine”, Zelensky remarked, signaling a shared desire to bring the issue to a block. He added,” Together with the US, we are charting our next steps to stop Russian anger and ensure a lasting, credible peace. As President Trump said, let’s get it done”.
The ongoing conflict, which has become Europe’s largest and deadliest area issue since World War II, has claimed thousands of lives and sparked a migrant crisis. While Trump’s comments are positive, the earth remains on top, questioning whether these “great talks” will certainly lead to peace, or if this is another political obstacle in a long and bloody road to resolution.
