Young America’s Foundation threatens legal actions against school for repression
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, has banned “discussions about the number of females” in outdoor areas.
According to the organization, ERAU Director of Student Engagement Kelsey Tempas wrote in a message to Young America’s Foundation members that “discovers about the number of genders has ]sic ] been determined to meet our definition of political content.”
Therefore, in accordance with current campus regulations, this event cannot take place in outdoor or other public spaces ( including tabling locations ). If you would like to change your celebration to a class or other personal location, I’m glad to facilitate finding you a fresh location”, she stated.
According to the report, the Biodegradation students were” seeking to assemble an on-campus advocacy occasion on the natural reality that there are two sexes.”
According to YAF Chief Communication Officer Spencer Brown,” saying that indisputable natural reality and biological science is very risky in the light of day is a sad and cruel stance for any institution of’high’ learning” take.
Being too incompetent to recognize the most fundamental scientific facts casts a serious question on Embry-Riddle’s ability to impart knowledge to the next generation, he said.
Brown added that the school is abusing President Donald Trump’s executive order titled” Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government” ( Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism ).
According to him, the attempt requires federally funded organizations to “respect the rights of individuals to proclaim the ternary nature of sex.”
If the school continues to violate the rights of its students, YAF announced it will fully file a complaint with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Additionally, Embry-Riddle’s Florida school has prohibited outside events for religious and political reasons, citing a legislation that restricts events held on the same campus.
The class did not allow the group to network pro-life or pro-Israel activities, The College Fix originally reported.
However, the school did allow a pro-transgender celebration on the” Time of Trans Visibility”.
A school book attorney responded by writing a memo informing administrators of the policy’s reversal.
The university’s policy claims that it” will only be supporting domestic activities related to religious and political factors” to “ensure the health” and “protection” of all students.
