Kash Patel, the nomination for FBI chairman, has frequently made fun of the joke that he would shut down FBI Headquarters on day one and restart it as the Deep State Museum the following day. Putting aside the crude prank, he might not be aware of how true to life he is. A stealthy much mystery about the FBI has perhaps escaped the notice of its most devoted supporters at DOJ. Even the most sheltered and suited gangsters on the 7th Ground might not even be aware how simple it would be to overthrow the whole organization.  ,

The FBI has been in the center of many scandals, illegal actions, lying on warrants, spying on people when they have no foundation, making up charges, setting fraud traps, bungling Ruby Ridge and Waco with fatal results, and investigating people like President Trump.
We’ve come a long way from this wispy remembrance of the FBI, America.
                                                            Â

At 5 in the morning, the law enforcement agency turned Stasi sends full SWAT team to target ‘ houses, even after those identical content offer to move themselves in in a business suit accompanied by an attorney. They’ve been ordered to use” shock and awe” methods for trespassing at the Capitol. And those are just a few examples of the risky shenanigans the world’s most effective law enforcement agency has pulled.  ,
If so inclined, however, the Trump Administration could shut the FBI down more easily than StevenD’Antuono set up a sucker who lives in a vacuum store to “kidnap” a governor. In other words, really, really easy—on paper, anyway.

The @FBI considers this July 26, 1908 memorandum as its “official birth”.
The next attorney general can revoke it and replace it, DOGE-style, with something new, more efficient, and not harmful to American citizens. @VivekGRamaswamy @elonmusk https ://t.co/lUVcFGsRAj pic. twitter.com/c6fEyw59KA

One memo. And it wasn’t even signed by the president. The attorney general signed it in 1908.  ,
The memo reads:
The Chief Examiner will be asked for a memorandum as to whether any member of the force of special agents under his control is available for the work to be performed in accordance with the Department of Justice’s [ Department of Justice] regarding all matters relating to investigations, aside from those that are being made by bank examiners, and in connection with the naturalization service. Any officer of the Department must first obtain authorization for the expenditure of money for special examinations without first determining whether one of the regular force is available for the desired service. In the event that the regular force of special agents of the Department cannot perform the work, the matter will be specifically brought to the attention of the Attorney General or Acting Attorney General, together with a statement from the Chief Examiner as to why a regular employee cannot be assigned to the work, before any money shall be allocated for the expenditure of any money for this purpose.

By issuing a similar memo signed by Attorney General Pam Bondi, Waller believes the FBI could be dispatched with the stroke of a pen.  ,
Waller, who’s with the Center for Security Policy, has gamed-out how the FBI’s functions could be absorbed into other parts of the massive law enforcement apparatus in the U. S. We discussed it in a recent” The Adult in the Room” podcast and in our prior discussion.
How simple would it be to dissolve the# FBI? In a pending episode of the Adult in the Room Podcast, @JMichaelWaller and I discussed this and many other topics. He proposes that the FBI be split into a domestic intelligence unit that investigates both the law enforcement apparatus that catches bad guys and foreign espionage threats on our soil. Nobody says it will be simple, but the Trump administration hasn’t done it in his second term.  ,
It’s wonderful to think that it might be much simpler than anyone had imagined.

Born by the memo, live by the memo, die by the memo.  ,
