Overthrown Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina blamed Bangladesh’s interim government head Muhammad Yunus for the government’s “lawlessness” and vowed to return back to her country.
During a one-on-one conversation on Zoom with wives of four officers killed during previous July’s student rebellion, Hasina claimed Yunus has “unleashed jihadists” on its members, PTI news agency reported.
Following a scholar uprising on August 5, 2024, Hasina’s 16-year Awami League administration was forced to seek shelter in India.
Hasina said,” He ( Yunus ) dissolved all inquiry committees and unleashed terrorists to butcher people. They are destroying Bangladesh”.
