You may call it accident, or you can call it divine grace, but my friend and co-host Stephen Kruiser and I came to each other with similar ideas for this week’s radio. Kruiser and I came up with the idea of discussing Cultural Christianity when he wanted to discuss something he’d heard on called Cultural Lent. For the fifth season of Faith All Over the Place, we combined the two issues.
Cultural Christianity refers to people who believe in the value of Christianity for community but don’t believe in Jesus for themselves: think folks like Richard Dawkins, Jordan Peterson, or scholar Tom Holland. Non-believers during the Lenten season who don’t exercise the faith are a phenomenon known as cultural Lent.  ,
When you don’t believe in someone, Kruiser and I discuss how important it is to support things or take part in a process. We also discuss how committed to living up to cultural beliefs or those who practice cultural Lent might be, and how much they open the door to others ‘ opinions and opinions.  ,

We delved a much deeper into Lent and Holy Week and discussed various techniques, which we’ll discuss more in the coming days. We also drew comparisons to the splendor of the McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish burger and how soon Ash Wednesday and Easter are this year and how Catholic Easter and Passover coincide on the same weekend of the timeline.  ,
Eventually, we talked a little bit about looking on the beautiful part of our small problems. It’s a soft, fairly free-wheeling discussion, but you know we had excitement and enjoyed touching on higher-order issues.  ,
As always, you can hear to” Faith All Over the Place” on our Radio page, on Apple, or on Spotify. Or you can talk here:  ,
