Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University ( ERAU) could be in hot water with the U. S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights after Young America’s Foundation (YAF ) filed a scathing complaint on Wednesday, alleging ongoing violations of students ‘ free speech rights. The issue requested that the DOE launch a proper investigation into the university and take appropriate steps.

ERAU was accused next month of” a overt attempt to silence the voices of its own kids” by YAF by declaring that it had violated international law. The restrictions targeted trans ideology and advocacy that was pro-Israel. ”  ,
YAF said that just in the last few decades, the university blocked seven of its school activities, including:  ,
- A” Stand with Israel “display consisting of Jewish colors showing support for the state of Israel, Israeli students outside, and opponents of violence
- A” 9/11: Not Miss “memorial
- A” Biology Basics engagement job” to refute the transsexuals at its core.
- distributing flyers to advertise Chloe Cole’s statement as a trans surgery opponent.
- A” Dead for Halloween” “activism job lampooning” politically right “restrictions on outfits that admit” cultural appropriation
- Chloe Cole’s presentation to those Embry-Riddle individuals who might want to learn from what she has to say is a goal of the YAF chapter, which is to bring her to school to do so.
- A” Where Does Life Start? “project showing the various fetal development levels to show students the realities of life in the uterus”
Only those were the free speech violations that took place at the Prescott school. Different violations at the Daytona Beach unit are listed in the problem.  ,

However, Embry-Riddle enthusiastically supported the” Trans Day of Awareness” and another left-wing engagement.  ,
” These restrictions, which were just a run-up to the entire conversation restrictions, lacked any assistance in ERAU’s rules,” the problem noted”. There are no rules for what might or might not be “approvalable” in the student handbook and occasion membership websites. ERAU officials used their positions of power, bereft of any real authority, to boycott YAF events. ” In improvement”, ERAU has firmly refused to acknowledge the privileges of truth-speaking students.”
The complaint cited President Trump’s recent executive orders holding universities accountable for their misguided ( and frequently bigoted ) DEI and gender-based policies, as well as President Trump’s armed and directed the Office of Civil Rights to investigate and defund schools that violate civil rights laws.  ,

” With this problem, YAF is following through on its promise to have our kids ‘ tails whenever their freedom come under attack from class administrators,” Brown said in a speech”. In this situation, YAF is contacting the Trump presidency to request immediate response in order to stop ERAU’s terrible speech plan and pattern of discrimination against traditional students. With his executive orders, President Trump equipped the Office of Civil Rights with tools to investigate and defund educational facilities that violate students ‘ rights. This is a welcome improvement that YAF welcomes and is now eager to exploit at ERAU and other schools nationwide.
The complaint concluded that” YAF looks forward to seeing American institutions really become the “marketplace of ideas,” where speech is free of both truth and plan, and the only thing that matters is the respect of each student as a human being.
