US president Donald Trump‘s recently appointed FBI key Kash Patel on Thursday vowed to make the national bureau clear, guilty, and committed to justice.
Patel reiterated his commitment to rebuilding confidence in the FBI in his first statement following the assurance of the US Senate.
” It is a pleasure to be appointed the seventh Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Thank you for your unwavering support and assurance, Attorney General Bondi and President Trump, for your unwavering support. The FBI has a storied legacy—from the” G-Men” to safeguarding our region in the midst of 9/11. The American persons deserve an FBI that is clear, guilty, and dedicated to fairness. People trust has been eroded by the politicalization of our justice system, but that is changing today, Patel wrote on X.
” My quest as Director is evident: allow good officers become cops—and rebuild confidence in the FBI. Working with the Bureau’s devoted employees and partners, we will construct an FBI that the American people may be proud of. And to those who seek to hurt Americans—consider this your notice. We may search for you wherever you are on earth. Mission First. America Often. Let’s get to work”, he added.
Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine, Republican senators, and Patel’s election received support from the rest of the Republican Party, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had recently opposed various Trump contenders.
In spite of the fact that all Senate Democrats voted against him, the assurance was overwhelmingly cast at 51 to 49.
Patel, a Trump loyalist and vociferous critic of the company, do take command during a period of significant revolution.
