Elon Musk, the CEO of DOGE, made hints about this chance on Wednesday, saying he do” check with the leader” regarding what some have termed as DOGE dividend checks for citizens next year. Some CPAC attendees were enthusiastic about the prospect, especially given how it would demonstrate the work that DOGE has done for voters, despite some who have raised concerns about these potential checks causing inflation.

” I guess from my standpoint, what I like about it the most, it’s great elections because it gives Americans a pretty kind of visible indication of the job that they’re getting, that they’re doing, and it allows them to kind of give back to the people that voted for them, essentially”, CPAC visitor Angus Kennelly told the Washington Examiner.

Courtney Mitchell argued that citizens should be given this because the majority of them supported Trump, and that doing so was a “fantastic” plan. She added that this would” began the golden age of America” and become a “lovely way to boost the market.”

CPAC visitor Alan Rosenthal, however, was “equivocal” on the probable payments, questioning if the money saved by DOGE could be used for “more crucial” items. However, he also said he “wouldn’t turn it down” should the government decide to issue the payments of up to$ 5, 000 to taxpayers.

The Native Patriot, a traditional content creator with the Patriots Prayer Network, was even” torn” on the probable bills, stating it would be good for citizens to get some of their income. Nevertheless, he noted how large the world’s bill is, which he said needs to be paid off. &nbsp,

” It almost feels like one of those’ feel good movements’ where it’s like’ OK, we’ve been doing x amount for the government, now it’s time to give back to the people,’ and in a way, that does sound good”, the Native Patriot told the Washington Examiner. However, instead of paying it in, I prefer to have my taxes returned as a gift.

At CPAC, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA ) poured cold water on the possibility of these DOGE dividend payments, citing how the Republican Party seeks to achieve “fiscal responsibility”. Johnson also cited the country’s debt and how “paying down the credit card” is a necessity.

Meanwhile, the White House has insisted that such payments would not cause inflation. Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, has asserted that lowering government spending would lower inflation and that people would save” a lot” of the money they would receive from the government.
