NEW DELHI: On Friday, the Pakistan higher commission announced that it had issued 154 permits to Indian travellers who wanted to visit the Shree Katas Raj churches in the province of Punjab. Every year, thousands of American travelers visit Pakistan in accordance with the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines of 1974.
The High Commission for Pakistan in New Delhi announced that it would grant 154 permits to a group of travellers traveling to the Chakwal district’s Shree Katas Raj Temples on February 24 through March 2.
Pakistan’s charged’affaires in India, Saad Ahmad Warraich, wished the travellers a morally enjoyable and fulfilling trip.
According to a statement, he reaffirmed that the government of Pakistan may continue to promote such appointments in line with its policy to promote interracial cooperation and intercultural understanding.
