When asked if the facility would still be in use, Homan responded to the Washington Examiner in response to the question,” Positively, we’re just making room.”

177 of the 178 inmates were flown to Honduras early on Thursday, followed by a supporting journey to Caracas, by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. One of the prisoners was later transported up to a state-owned U.S. immigration detention center.

The prisoners were illegal newcomers, with some having legal histories, group affiliations, or had been ordered to be removed from the U. S. by a national immigration prosecutor.

As part of his comprehensive efforts to carry out large persecution and halt illegal immigration, Trump made plans to send refugees to Guantanamo Bay detention tent, which was used to detain suspected jihadists during the George W. Bush administration, next month. &nbsp,

According to Reuters ‘ analysis of U.S. Department of Homeland Security data, the Trump administration deported more than 37 000 people during his first month in office. The number is below that of Biden’s last year in business, which averaged about 57, 000, a big jump from his earlier years in office.

DHS removed Caleb&nbsp, Vitello, the acting director of ICE, from his position on Friday because it is said that Trump is disappointed that the agency’s arrest rates are no higher. Who did take Vitello’s place is unknown.

Homan claimed that Kristi Noem, DHS Secretary, was the one who may have made the choice, rather than him.

” That wasn’t my decision”, Homan said, saying questions about his removal would have to be asked of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, including why he was removed, or who will replace him because he doesn’t “know” .&nbsp,

The border king acknowledged to the Washington Examiner that despite the “numbers are fine, he is no” satisfied with the speed of repatriation efforts.

” I’m not going to be satisfied till we eradicate all of them,” Homan said”. Numbers are nice, not good enough.”

But, Homan claimed that Trump was” content” with the figures, despite reports that say the leader is getting frustrated they are not higher.

” President Trump’s quite delighted with the quantities. I’m content with the amounts, but it’s not enough,” Homan said”. We need more statistics, according to President Trump, but we still prioritize public health and national surveillance risks.” We promised to the American people about the mass deportation activity.

Homan criticized President Joe Biden and his administration during a speech at the annual conservative conference on Saturday afternoon.

” I’ve been up every day for the past four years angry because the Biden administration intentionally unsecured the most secure border of my life,” I’d say. I worked for six presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan. Every president I ever served stepped up to secure the border, according to Homan.

Even President Obama stepped up security along the border. They made it clear that border security cannot exist without national security. They got it.”

He continued”, Joe Biden’s the first president in the history of the nation, who came into office and unsecured the border on purpose.”

Illegal border crossings reached record levels during Biden’s presidency, averaging 2 million per year from 2021 to 2023. During the 2024 election cycle, Republicans actively opposed Biden’s handling of the southern border.
