According to Ahsan Tasnim, US President Donald Trump has criticized a$ 29 million US-funded project that was intended to” strengthen the political environment” in Bengal. He claims that the grant was given to a two-person company that has never been heard of.
He made the remarks at the White House on Friday, referring to several USAID projects that had recently been canceled due to Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ) recommendations.
“$ 29 million to improve the political landscape in Bangladesh. Went to a company that nobody ever heard of”, said Trump, adding,” can you imagine you have a small firm. You get 10, 000 around, 10, 000 there, and then we get$ 29 million from the US state. They had two individuals working in that company, two persons, I think they’re really happy, they’re really rich”.
He continued,” They’ll be on the handle of a very good business publication very soon, for being excellent scammers.”
