Bomb threat: American Airlines New York-Delhi flight diverted to Rome

NEW DELHI: American Airlines New York JFK-Delhi nonstop ( AA 292 ) diverted to Rome following a bomb threat for the flight. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner was heading westbound from JFK on Saturday ( February 22 ) at 8:14 p.m. when it crossed the Caspian Sea and turned back toward Europe.
In a statement, the flight said, “AA 292, operating from New York to Delhi, has been diverted to Rome due to a possible security risk ship.

We are collaborating closely with the regional government, and we will keep you informed as the condition develops. We appreciate our passengers’ tolerance and cooperation.
