When he criticized the reports that President Trump is suffering devastating courthouse defeats due to his professional orders, MSNBC’s legal researcher Danny Cevallos almost brought the panel to tears.

” Over the weekend, I read all these stories and the stories were like, Trump suffers legal knocks”, Cevallos said. ” Another one was, Trump hit with unexpected loss” . ,
However, he warned that the media’s representation of these rulings could deceive Trump’s supporters into thinking he’s “getting his mouth kicked,” only to be shocked when he ultimately prevails in some of these cases.
” These are not big setbacks”, he explained, emphasizing that many of these decisions are at the” be phase”, meaning the judges are simply hitting wait rather than deciding the case on its merits. ” One’s winning or losing on the virtues”, Cevallos pointed out. They are pressed” Pause” until they can consider the merits of the case.
He compared the legal process to soccer exhibition games, arguing that these early decisions “don’t matter” until they are delivered by the Supreme Court. That’s why, in his watch, these are not true blows to Trump.
Cevallos also emphasized how quickly his administration may reissue executive orders and the proper advantage that Trump has. Do you know how much it costs to execute an administrative order? A piece of paper and a Sharpie. That’s it”, he said. You know what that tells them, you know what that tells them, if a judge rejects an attempt for obscure language? Just go ahead and review another one. Unlike policy, executive orders don’t involve buy-in from Congress, making them easy to update and reprint.

Yet in cases where Trump appears to be losing, Cevallos sees a unique portrait. He cited the new Ninth Circuit decision regarding the inheritance membership controversy, in which the court refused to grant an crisis stay.  ,
” But they were never going to win that”, he said, arguing that the true lesson is that Trump’s legal team isn’t willing to wait. ” They’re going to fight at every single move. And that means contacting absolutely everything in the understanding that some of them will suffer because it is costing nothing.
Cevallos summed up his point of view, rejecting the notion that Trump faces a constitutional assault that he can’t escape.  ,
” I do not believe that Trump losing repeatedly,” he said. Otherwise, he believes the true story is Trump’s continuous approach to dispute. ” They’re not going to quit and they’re going to keep fighting it every day, and they are going to get some of these”.
But what makes Cevallos’s evaluation so interesting is the method his co-panelists lay in watch in quietness. If you look at their heads, there’s about a sense of mourning, and it almost looks like one of them is going to burst into tears.
