EXCLUSIVE – , The White House has been at pains to argue Elon Musk is not the superintendent of the , Department of Government Efficiency , — and that secret suddenly appears to have been solved.
Moments after media secretary , Karoline Leavitt , declined to name the superintendent during Tuesday’s hit presentation, a White House national told the , Washington Examiner , that the operating executive is a woman named Amy Gleason.
According to public data, Gleason has been a top adviser to the U. S. Digital Service, the organization that the Trump administration transformed into DOGE,  , since January. In addition to her role as a online service professional for the next USDS during the first Trump presidency, according to Gleason’s LinkedIn account, she also served from 2018 to 2021. Beyond that, little is known about her position and level of authority over her.
By all evidence, Musk had been heading DOGE and the Trump government’s goal to reduce the side of the federal government and cut reportedly useless or false spending.
The administration claimed in court documents that the billionaire was a particular government employee and not a manager.

Leavitt repeatedly declined to specify who the executive is in response to questions from earlier on Tuesday regarding DOGE’s management structure.
Elon Musk was given the task of the president to monitor the DOGE work. There are political appointees and job leaders who are assisting with DOGE on a daily basis,” she said in a statement. There are also individuals who have been appointed as democratic officials at all government agencies to look for and recognize waste, scams, and abuse, and they are working on that project every day.
After in the presentation, Leavitt was questioned about a Monday meeting between federal attorneys and Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly at a hearing regarding DOGE’s right to use the Treasury Department services. When asked by the prosecutor if DOGE now has an executive, Justice Department trial lawyers Bradley Humphreys just responded,” I don’t know the answer to that”.

Leavitt responded to the question on Tuesday, telling reporters she wouldn’t “return the name of that person from this podium.”
” I’m happy to follow off and provide that to you, but we’ve been very open about the way that DOGE is working”, she continued.
