A mysterious data scientist known only as” DataRepublican” claims to have uncovered over$ 100 billion in government waste and corruption — and she’s using artificial intelligence to do it, reported NewsNation.
Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ), a federal initiative that aims to reduce spending, have been interested in her work. But despite her growing control, the technical analyst has had to keep her identification hidden owing to risks she’s received.
Artificial vs federal problem
In an interview, DataRepublican extensive how she maps ties between federal officials, uncovering a tangled web of links.
” If you study persons long enough, you start to notice that they’re all working up, they’re all married, they’re all in-laws”, she said, as quoted by NewsNation. They have been making choices that benefit each other for years while sitting on the same board.
She asserts that there is no such thing as corruption in politics. ” Both factors are involved. It is everywhere”.
Musk, DOGE, and the battle over federal spending
DataRepublican’s job coincides with DOGE’s goal to reduce federal spending—a target Musk and former President Donald Trump have consistently pushed. The initiative has already claimed$ 55 billion in savings, slashing grants, renegotiating contracts, and laying off thousands of federal workers—including nearly 7, 000 IRS employees last week.
But those reductions have sparked reaction. By forbidding workers to support their roles or mouth termination, according to a complaint filed in California. According to reports, the Office of Personnel Management internal memo issued a warning about additional decreases.
Meanwhile, lawmakers like Rep. John Cabello (R-Ill. ) want to expand DOGE’s methods to state governments. ” It’s time to consider what they’re doing at the national level and take it around”, Cabello said.
‘ A storm ‘ since Musk’s support
DataRepublican insists she has never spoken to Musk instantly despite her near ties to DOGE. ” I don’t connect with Elon. He found me, and he supports my work”, she said. ” Actually, I don’t understand how he found me. You’d have to question him. But I’m grateful”.
Musk has encouraged his 218 million X followers to follow her labor, propelling her into the light. ” Since therefore, it’s just been a whirlwind”, she said.
But while DOGE’s site boasts a “wall of documents” documenting its spending cuts, almost$ 38 billion of its claimed benefits remain unconfirmed.
With claims looming and more studies live, one thing is clear: DataRepublican isn’t done cutting however.
