There have been some changes at MSNBC, and your preferred Mark Cuban imitation, Rachel Maddow, isn’t content about it.
According to previous reports, Joy Reid has just been fired from MSNBC, and another cables and visitors are also losing their displays. Maddow left on the shrinking, and her talk was all the host should have.

She initially described Joy Reid’s withdrawal as “very, very, very hard to take”.
Joey won’t be changing jobs with the system. She is leaving the system completely”, Maddow announced, even though I’m sure people knew that now.
Next came the inevitable higher praise for her past coworker, a cuckoo. There is no classmate for whom I have had more affection and respect than Joy Reid, according to Maddow. I adore anything about her. She has taught me a lot. I have a lot more to know from her than that.
I can’t determine if that’s unhappy, sad, or complete horsefeathers. But here’s where it gets really exciting.
” I do not want to lose her as a partner these at MSNBC”, Maddow continued. I believe it to be a terrible mistake to permit her leave the door, individually. I am aware that this is not my duty. But that’s what I think”.

And there it is: Rachel Maddow playing the contest passport against her own system. Because of training she did. As we previously reported, Joy Reid’s show,” The ReidOut”, has been hemorrhaging viewers, averaging just 973, 000 in February 2025 — a staggering 28 % drop from the 1.3 million it drew in the same month last year. Is Maddow really suggesting that plurality presenters should not be subject to the same scores requirements as everyone else? Does she not realize that the success of MSNBC depends on viewers? Obviously, of all the things she claims to have “learned” from Joy Reid, simple economy wasn’t one of them.
But then again, who at MSNBC knows standard economics anyway?
Maddow went on to detail the domestic issue, stating that “dozens of suppliers and staffers, including some of the most skilled, most brilliant, and most professional producers in the tower, are facing being laid off.” They’re being invited to return for fresh jobs”. According to Maddow, a significant revamp “has not occurred at this level in this way before when it comes to programming changes, probably because it’s ineffective and unnecessary, and it kind of falls the bottom out of whether or not people feeling like this is a good place to work.”

If accusations of bigotry weren’t enough, Maddow tied the show’s tumult into an assault on the free media. She said,” It is not news for me to inform you that the media and media freedom are being attacked in a way that is really a great deal for our land.” It’s very visceral for us here” . ,
