Elon Musk has thrown his support behind Vivek Ramaswamy, his longtime partner in the Trump administration, endorsing him for Ohio governor—a move that comes as no surprise given their past collaboration.
Under US President Donald Trump, Musk and Ramaswamy both held high positions in senior positions, with Ramaswamy leading the department of government efficiency ( DOGE ) and Ramaswamy championing conservative business policies. Then, as Ramaswamy launches his charge to direct Ohio, Musk has backed him again again, writing on X:” Good success, you have my whole support”!
The businessman and former presidential candidate launched his campaign at a rally attended by his family, Apoorva Ramaswamy, who vowed to make him” the best government the state has ever seen.” Ramaswamy is running on a conventional program that includes merit-based pay for teachers and job specifications for Medicaid.
Ramaswamy’s perspective for Ohio
During his statement, Ramaswamy highlighted his aim to place Ohio as a chief in emerging business, saying:
” Ohio will result in the areas of the future”.
He painted a picture of Ohio’s potential dominance in technology and innovation:” Ten years from today … when we send guarded rockets to Mars, when we cure recently chronic genetic diseases, when we power our electrical grid with nuclear energy … What’s going to be the meme?’ Merely in Ohio.'”
He even praised Trump, calling him” the greatest president of our millennium”.
The audience exploded when I told the truth, proclaiming that Donald Trump was the most successful leader of his generation. He’s reviving our judgment in America. We need a home-based president who can reaffirm our convictions in Ohio, Ramaswamy said on X.
Trump’s support and MAGA perspective
Ramaswamy, who ran for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination before dropping out to endorse Donald Trump, reiterated his commitment to the Make America Great Again ( MAGA ) movement—now bringing it to Ohio.
” Thank you, President Trump. I’m really honored to have your endorsement”, Ramaswamy responded. ” We’re behind you all the way, and we will Make Ohio Great Repeatedly”!
Trump praised Ramaswamy, writing on Truth Social: “VIVEK RAMASWAMY is running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio. I know him also, competed against him, and he is someone SPECIAL. He’s Young, Solid, and Smart! Vivek is also a really good man, who absolutely loves our Country. He will be a Wonderful Governor of Ohio, will never let you down, and has my COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT”!
Ramaswamy’s entrance into the race comes after Jon Husted, the presumed pioneer, was unapologetically withdrawn, who accepted a position in the US Senate. Ramaswamy has pledged to bring traditional leadership and business-driven policies to Ohio, making himself the apparent MAGA candidate in the race.
