Donald Trump, the president of the United States, asserted on Wednesday that the European Union was founded to counteract the United States despite Washington’s long-standing assistance for its development.
Speaking at his first Cabinet meet, Trump said:” Look, let’s be honest, the European Union was formed in order to lock the United States”.
Trump says no Nato for Ukraine
Trump also ruled out a Ukrainian nation joining NATO as President Volodymyr Zelensky was preparing to reach a bargain on natural resource payments, rejecting Ukraine’s desires in line with Russia’s position.
When asked about a potential deal to end the war, Trump responded,” Nato– you can forget on.” ” I think that’s probably the reason the whole thing started”.
Trump later stated that he wants to arrange for an in-person conference with Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, in order to reach a resolution to the Ukraine war that started with Moscow’s war in February 2022.
While he declined to explain what concessions he may get from both sides, Trump reaffirmed his government’s approach that Ukraine’s Nato account aspirations are not feasible.
No US protection promises to Ukraine
He continued that Western countries should be held accountable for providing Ukraine with security claims, but he objected to US agreements in exchange for access to Ukrainian natural sources.
” I’m not going to make security guarantees beyond quite much”, Trump said, adding that,” We’re going to include Europe do that because… Europe is their next-door cousin, but we’re going to make sure everything goes well”.
Zelenskyy will attend the White House on Friday.
Trump announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would travel to the White House on Friday to mark a significant materials offer at the start of the meeting.
” It’s a great deal for Ukraine, too, because they get us over there”, Trump said. ” We’ll be on the area and, you know, in that way, it’s this sort of automated protection, because one’s going to be messing around with our citizens when we’re it”, he added.
His management had originally suggested that Ukraine pay US$ 500 billion in future earnings as de facto pardons for the defense and humanitarian assistance it has received.
Zelenskyy continued to negotiate a modified deal after declining that sell. ” We’re saying, look … we want to get that money back”, Trump said on Tuesday, again overstating the total US aid sent to Ukraine, which stands at approximately$ 120 billion since the war began.
‘ Thirst’ for his ‘ metal card’ card
Trump plans to introduce a new “gold cards” immigration system, offering a possible pathway to U. S. membership for$ 5 million, as a replacement for the existing 35-year-old buyer visa program.
” I happen to think it’ll sell like mad. It’s a business”, Trump said. ” But we’ll hear quite quickly. If we sell a million, that’s$ 5 trillion money”, he added.
Highlighting strong interest from the company society, he remarked,” I think we will offer a lot because I think there’s actually a appetite”. Trump even suggested that the program’s proceeds could be used to pay off the country’s loan.
