At least 57 of Maine’s 192 school districts have rules that prevent families from knowing whether their kids begin to identify as transgender, which is prevalent in the state where identity and gay theories predominate.
A significant portion of Maine’s public school districts, including its most populous ones, allegedly conceal students ‘ crucial medical and social information from parents if they are unwilling to allow their child to” transition” genders, according to documents reviewed by The Federalist and obtained by Parents Defending Education through public records requests.
By keeping the information secret from the kids, school districts could be putting the life of their students at risk, or at least their mental and physical health, because allowing children to pursue such delusions is a dangerous experiment being pursued only by the most extreme predators and not supported by medical science.
” Maine is a condition that has gone all in on female philosophy in K-12 colleges”, Erika Sanzi, director of outreach for PDE, told The Federalist. We notice it in these laws, which knowingly withhold data from relatives about their own child’s gender identity, and the governor’s insistence that men be allowed to play and compete in female ‘ activities. Regardless of their political party, it’s all unjustified and madly unpopular with voters.
The districts ‘ policies add to the current hot seat for Maine, where a federal civil rights investigation into the state’s inability to allow kids to compete against female in sports has recently been uncovered. If it is determined that the state is in violation of civil rights law, it was drop$ 250 million in federal funding for education.
That investigation came on the heels of Trump administration guidance directing school districts to get rid of their diversity, equity, and inclusion ( DEI ) policies, including those based on radical gender theory. After the significant damage that was done during the Biden administration, the majority of the country’s parental isolation procedures now seem to contradict an executive order signed by President Donald Trump that emphasizes the value of parental control over their children in schools.
The order, titled” Ending Radical Indoctrination In K-12 Schooling,” explicitly mentions school districts that encourage children to engage in “gender transition” and disclosing that information from their parents:” For example, allowing males to enter private spaces designated for females or pursuing the so-called “gender transition” without parental consent or involvement may violate federal laws protecting parental rights, such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA ) and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment ( PP
The purchase directs governmental agencies to “prevent or revoke” federal funding for schools that “directly or directly help or support the cultural transition of a small student, including through school staff or teachers or by purposefully concealing the minor’s cultural transition from the minor’s parents.”
Laws in the Maine school district that attempt to keep this information from families appear to be in strong conflict with Trump’s purchase.
Portland Public Schools, the state’s largest city, has a” Transgender and Gender Expansive Kids” legislation that directs university team to hide any abnormal “gender identity” data from relatives who might not allow their children to pursue social or medical” change”.
The class will follow the child’s wishes regarding their gender identity and female expression while they are at school, according to the policy. If a student doesn’t directly consent to the publication or unless officially required to do so, school employees will follow their wishes regarding publication of their trans status to others, including but not limited to parents or guardians, students, volunteers, and other school staff.
The students who claim to be transgender can also use locker rooms and restrooms that match their new “identity,” as well. Girls may also be forced to wear undress in front of them. Staff and students are forced to use the “preferred pronouns” of the students who make the “gender identity” claims.
Other major school districts in Maine, including Lewiston, Bangor, Auburn, and many others have nearly identical policies. The Maine School Boards Association was one of the organizations that proliferated the policy, which is a major factor in that.
Many districts have teacher and staff training programs that instruct them to promote gender diversity and create classrooms where “gender expansive” students receive special treatment.
Bangor, for example, had a 2022 presentation called “LGBTQ+ 101: Understanding and Supporting all those letters within your school community”. The presentation used typical propaganda tools for gender ideology, such as the” Genderbread Person,” to persuade kids that gender is a spectrum.
Staff are also told to “neutralize language in classrooms” and dehumanize the family unit by using terms such as” significant other” and “partner” instead of “husband”, “wife”, “boyfriend”, and “girlfriend”. Additionally, it instructs them to establish a relationship with students by first using the pronouns” they/them” and “if unsure” to refer to singular students.
While another district, Maine School Unit 29, has received groomer training from a group that promoted LGBT indoctrination on children, has not explicitly adopted the parental exclusion policy of the other 57 districts.
Unit 29 reached out to OUT Maine, a gay and transgender youth programming organization in the state, with the aim of “reversing the very systems that serve diverse queer youth in all of their , intersectional identities.”
According to documents obtained by PDE, OUT Maine suggested implementing gay and transgender ideology into school curriculums, such as “displaying LGBTQ+ role models in educational materials” and “developing STRONG policies, procedures, and inclusive curriculum”.
The organization said staff should “feel confident, and understand the proper terminology to use when talking to LGBTQ+ youth”, while students” should receive regular training” to “learn about equity” and “understand what is expected of them”.
The other districts with parental exclusion policies are: Maine School Administrative District 15, Sunrise County, Easton, East Millinocket, District 45, Millinocket, Wiscasset, District 20, Alternative Organizational Structure 98, Unit 23, Camden Rockport, Unit 24, Unit 26, Unit 67, Kittery, Unit 68, District 55, Unit 3, District 72, Unit 38, Unit 39, Unit 4, Lisbon, Hermon, Cape Elizabeth, York, Brewer, Waterville, Yarmouth, District 1, Unit 1, Unit 10, Unit 40, Kennebec Intra-District Schools, Unit 19, District 11, District 52, Falmouth, Unit 5, District 35, District 51, Mt.
