Attorney General of the United States, Pam Bondihas confirmed that documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein will be made public on Friday, marking a major development in the long-standing case.
” It’s pretty sick…” Bondi said in an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters. When asked when the people may believe access to the records, she responded,” Soon… breaking news right now, you’re gonna see some Epstein information being released by my office”.
The announcement follows increasing pressure from lawmakers, including Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn. ), who has urged the FBI and Department of Justice to disclose Epstein’s flight logs and other records. Blackburn emphasized the need for clarity in a letter sent to FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Bondi.
The British people should be aware of who was actually associated with this system. According to The Hill, Jeffrey Epstein, as you know, over the course of several years, created a horrific global sex trafficking network that harmed numerous women.
She also demanded the release of all video surveillance photos and business records obtained by the Internal Revenue Service ( IRS ) from Epstein’s Palm Beach residence.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla. ) has also joined calls for disclosure, questioning Bondi on social media about delays in releasing the files. House Oversight sent a notice to the DOJ on February 11 andamp; February 19 asking about the reputation of the release of the Epstein documents as well as JFK, etc. The DOJ has no responded”, she wrote on X.
Luna added, “AGPamBondi what is the position of the papers? These records were ordered to remain declassified”.
However, Bondi assured that the Trump administration is committed to ensuring responsibilities. Speaking to democratic critic Benny Johnson, she stated,” Donald Trump doesn’t make empty promises. I think promises made, promises kept, and that’s why we’re all that to carry out his policy about making America protected and prosperous”.
During her notes, Bondi reiterated that there is” no legitimate base” for those implicated in the Epstein scenario to keep their names hidden unless they are adolescents, subjects, or cooperating testimony.
” Citizens in that document are still fighting to keep their names personal, Sean. They are unable to do so by virtue of their lawful standing unless they are a child, a prey, or a cooperating accused by chance against a possible case against Ghislaine Maxwell, Bondi said in an appointment with Fox News.
Epstein, a financier with relations to high-profile people, was first arrested in Florida in 2005 for reportedly paying a 14-year-old girl for sex. He eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser cost in 2008, serving 13 months in jail under a work-release system. He was charged with sexual trafficking in 2019, but he died by suicide in his body before going on trial.
His lifelong affiliate, Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted in 2021 for recruiting young ladies for Epstein and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Bondi has emphasized that the Trump administration won’t let those responsible for crimes like Epstein and others escape responsibilities as the demand for accountability grows.
” I was briefed on that yesterday. I didn’t talk about that formally, but, you know, President Trump has given a really powerful law, and that’s going to be followed”, Bondi said.
The FBI and the Department of Justice have not yet made any comments on the forthcoming release.
